We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received globally over the last few months, and have been touched to hear all your stories about how Sir Ken inspired and affected you. We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love.
Many people have been asking how we plan on continuing Sir Ken’s transformational work; his passing was unexpected, and his work needs to be continued now more than ever. We do intend to amplify the movement that he dedicated his life and work to, and if he lit a spark inside of you, then we feel there is a duty to carry that spark and light it in someone else.
There has never been a more crucial time for his message. Sir Ken saw the best in humanity, and he wanted the best for humanity. At the core, his message was a rallying cry for us to live up to our greatest potential and explore our creative capacities.
As an international community, we are currently at a crossroads. As Sir Ken said, the more complex the world becomes, the more creative we need to be to meet its challenges. But we need your help to continue to foster this creativity and to affect change.
After all, education is a human system, and if you are part of the system then you can change the system. Education can evolve to suit the needs of the world that it is designed to serve. Sir Ken used to say that if you get the conditions right in education, miracles happen. Calling it a miracle makes it sound rare, but in fact, in education, miracles happen every day.
We are committed to continuing and magnifying Sir Ken’s legacy, as that is the absolute best way we can honour him and we hope that you will join us and help us create the conditions for miracles to happen.
